⚠️ binary, sources – this is patched tpmiddle
program which clicks even when movement is registered (uses 200ms timeout to ignore click, same as X.org driver default). Can be and was compiled on Linux using MSVC 2010 compiler.
This was created because of really poor support of Trackpoint in Windows drivers.
Requirements:
tpmiddle utility (just run this once or it will multiply your middle clicks) with Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 SP1 Runtime Libraries as mentioned on that page,
compatible Ultranav driver (I have found 9.1.3.7 for 32-bit and 64-bit systems), it did not work with all-in-one Synaptics UltraNav driver (16.2.5.0 on 64-bit Windows 7):
latest Ultranav Utility (2.13, 17 Sep 2010): 7vgq14ww.exe, 7vgq14ww.txt
Note: I am not sure what the driver numbering means, because older Vista Thinkpad had version 9.1.3.8 pre-installed, which also worked and was internally dated as 2006-11-17. The 9.1.3.7 is labeled in TXT file as 2008-11-18.
I have also tried Autohotkey script but it did not work with the all-in-one drivers.
